Common Room

So the burger I had at Common Room was called The Whole Damn Farm Burger. It is a game changer of a burger. It’s so tall, I could barely get my mouth round it. I contains all your favourite farm yard animals in a burger, southern fried chicken, 4oz beef patty, pulled beef, bacon, an onion ring, chilli’s, lettuce, tomato and house burger sauce & BBQ sauce. Also for added for extra stomach busting, it comes with a double portion of fries. image (10) Bun- The bun somehow managed to house inside it a ridiculous amount of meat, a challenge succeeded in itself. 5/5 Meat- I don’t even know where to start. The quantity doesn’t mean that it lost any quality. 5/5 image (9) Salad to Meat Ratio- It had salad in it somewhere, but that isn’t the point of this burger. 4/5

Sides- Came with a double portion of fries and coleslaw. Good stuff

5/5 Condiments and drinks- A huge range of sauces and a great amount of lagers and beers. Spot on in that department 5/5.

Overall- This is a monster of a burger. It has everything that you would ever want inside it. I really, really recommend going for food at the common room and having this burger. If do order The Whole Damn Farm and you don’t finish this burger, you should be disappointed in yourself. 24/25

However, word of warning. I ate this for lunch and didn’t eat for the rest of the day. Have a light breakfast/lunch. Good luck.

Twisted Burger Co.

Let start with wow. I was looking forward to this all week and Twister Burger Co delivered. We went to the Riverside Friday night for Burgers, Beers and Beats, and that’s what we got. The burger we got was the Pig Daddy Kane: Double Beef Patty, Pulled Pork, American Cheese, Dead Twisted BBQ Sauce, Chorizo and Apple Jam. Now that is something to get excited about.

Bun – Good bun. Had the qualities of a “dirty burger” (in a good way) without it being greasy on the hands. 4/5

Meat – Awesome. The meat falls to pieces in your mouth. 5/5

Salad to Meat ratio – Great. It wasn’t overflowing, so it was easy to get in yer gob. 5/5

Sides – No sides came with the burgers, but the sharer fries that we got between us were just what we needed.  4/5

Condiments and drinks – Nothing needed to be added to the burger because of the brilliant BBQ sauce and apple jam.  For drinks we sloshed down the Riverside Pale, which has been one of my favourite pale ale’s in Sheffield for a long time. Goes down a treat. 5/5

Overall – One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Combined with the great drinks and the vibing atmosphere at The Riverside, sets Twisted Burger Co on a new level for a great evening and burger. Its also worth mentioning that the burgers were half price over January, an offer not to be missed! It has left me wanting the rest of the menu very, very soon. 23/25

Apologies for the photo, it didn’t do it justice. Also it was quite dark, so the flash didn’t help either.

Bungalows and Bears.

Since the idea to find the best burger in Sheffield came to us on a Tuesday, how could we not go to Bungalows and Bears. I chose the Beef with Chorizo & Grilled Halloumi Burger.

Condiments

Salad to Meat ratio – Perfect. 5/5

Sides – Came with a side of fries, which weren’t your everyday oven chips. Deliciously crispy and light. 4.5/5

Condiments – A good selection of condiments should never be forgotten, and Bungalows delivered. Tabasco Chipotle was a nice touch. 5/5

Overall – The 2-4-1 Tuesday offer makes it the bargain of the week. Great bar with a fresh vibe. Large selection of drinks to compliment a bangin’ burger. A strong contender for best burger with 23/25
